Sonra bunu A deck’ine koyuyordum. B deck’ine boş kaset koyup kaydettiğim ilk kanal A deck’inde çalarken ben 2. kanalı üstüne kaydediyordum.
Philips’i ise Aux girişinden Sony’e bağlamıştım.

I have finally started to transfer my old tape recordings from 1991-1997 (from the days before I owned a Fostex). To my surprise, as I look back on my work, I have discovered that I had developed some DIY techniques for multitrack recording on a Sony FH and a portable Philips tape recorder in my room.
To begin with, I recorded the first track on the B deck from the microphone input of the Sony recorder, then placed this cassette into the A deck. In the second step, I put an empty cassette to the B deck, and I overdubbed the second track replaying the first track on the A deck. I repeated this process until I finished the piece. This was the only possible way for me to make a multitrack-recording in those years.
I had connected the Philips recorder to the Sony FH using the AUX input of the Philips. Due to a malfunction in the equipment, Philips played A and B decks simultaneously, and thus it was possible to record some samples from other cassettes or other sounds in real time.
Furthermore, again thanks to this malfunction, I was able to insert two cassettes into the decks of the Philips and shift their speeds. After recording these two tracks, I was overdubbing two other tracks. I was also able to manipulate the speed by using various degrees of pressure on the play button.
Thus, without having a real multitrack recording device, I was able to overdub, manipulate the speed, apply an echo, take and use samples, and even phase shift successfully.
Now, I am happy to start transferring these old recordings. I will upload only the good quality ones to my bandcamp page, since many of them are not in good condition. Many of them are experimental, punk/noise, improvised or hard to label. At that time, I was still fond of Heavy Metal, though slowly moving away from it.
Later, I may start to upload some recordings from my Fostex Period and from our long journey with Cem.
Doing this, I feel something of a return to the purity of those years.
